Largest Hard Drive for T41?

#1 Post by billp117 » Sat Jan 26, 2008 5:40 pm

Can you folks let me know what is the largest HD the T41 can handle without any error codes?

I need a recommended brand and source. I already know the T43 cannot handle a 160GB Seagate Momentus . So I was wondering if it could be used in the T41...or just how big can you go with a T41.

Thanks for the input.

Find the largest ATA-6 IDE 5400 RPM 2.5" laptop hard drive you can and you'll be good to go. The T41 does not have the same drive compatibility problems as the T43 and R52. Source? Newegg.com. zipzoomfly.com has some good drive deals occasionally also.

As far as I can tell, it is the 250GB Western Digital PATA. I upgraded a T42 with one about 6 weeks ago and it went fine.

I got mine from newegg.com
