T43 model 2687 motherboard issue

hi, i have a T43 that will only stop at IBM logo screen and it doesn't respond to the access ibm button for me the access the bios. ALso, at this stage, the dvd rom of this laptop doesn't eject when i push the eject button but when power up, the LED flashes. This model is equiped with ATI graphic, 1.86ghz pentium M & 1GB DDR2 4200 ram. any help is greatly appreciated.

Remove everything (CDC, minPCI, UltraBay device) except one SODIMM and see if it boots. If it still does not, replace this SODIMM with another one and try it again. If it does, put back the devices one by one and see which one is hanging up your computer.

If the computer does not boot with two different SODIMM, you need a new MB or send it to the shop.

It is not one of the excellent suggestions then it most definitely your motherboard.

If under warranty I would make the call.

i have tried both slots with ram switched and one at the a time, both methods didn't work. any suggestion of a hard reset? i got it cheap at 200 bucks, don't know if it is worth to pay 100 dollars on ebay to get the mobo fixed. any suggestion? coz if i buy a new board from ebay at 200 + is like buying this model at current market value, am i right?
