Ultrabay battery Part Number T60-1953 ??

I have 2 batteries and cant figure out what the difference is:

40Y6789 FRU 40Y6790
40Y6787 FRU 41U4890


Anyone know off hand?

i just think they are from different manufacturers... no difference really (other than what's to be seen :) - maybe one lasts longer but nobody could tell you that yet cuz they haven't been out longer.)

No worries tho, Lenovo has lots of different part numbers, lots of the time they are the same but just may change 1 thing or something and they change the part number to match.

sata or pata?they are different.

40Y6789 FRU 40Y6790 -- released with the T60 series
40Y6787 FRU 41U4890 -- released with the T61 series

other than updated FRUs, they carry the same specs.   just in case, i would suggest looking for the 40Y6787/41U4890 as it is newer.

this is a battery, not a hard drive.   both batteries listed above use the ultrabay slim's dedicated battery connector.

came with their T61p so it's probably just an updated PN like i said.
