How much battery life saved by downgrade to XP

#1 Post by young guy » Fri Feb 01, 2008 5:07 pm

Hello,

Wondering if anyone can share their experience when downgrading from Vista Business to XP Pro on a X61; how much battery life did you gain from your 8 cell or 4 cell?

Thanks.

A20p - Old reliable! Still chucking along after 7 years.

you wont really save battery life by switching to XP. Its how you manage your hardware that saves battery life. Moving from a 4 cell to an 8 cell will definitely snow more battery time.
