System Update patch?

#1 Post by goofyGAguy » Sat Feb 02, 2008 10:21 pm

Anyone know anything about this? Is it necessary? Lenovo lists it under Critical.

I don't know if you need it though I installed this on a number of ThinkPads with no ill effects.

I wouldn't say it's necessary by any means - simply seems like something you'd "need" if you had System Update set to automatically do its work.

It's not analogous to a Windows "Critical Update." However, because System Update is still evolving, it'd probably be safe -- and a good idea -- to apply the patch.

Looks like a whole slew of updates under the other SU tabs as well, at least on my T43. I'll save those for after the Super Bowl.
