I have a 9-cell battery on my T43 which was sitting idle for 3 months--while at a computer repair shop. I suspect during repair the battery may have drained completely.
In any case, now that I try to charge the battery it is taking a terribly long time. MobMeter shows the charge rate as 0.96w while typically it should be around 20 I believe. At the current rate I am guessing it will take 3-4 days to reach a full charge.
Is my battery done for? Could it be an issue with the laptop? How can I revive the battery if at all possible?
I'll wait for it to do a complete charge (with the laptop powered off) and then I'll try a complete discharge and recharge but at the present rate that will take days.
T43 Laptop battery extremely slow to charge (idle for 3 mo.)
