X60 won't power on

#1 Post by traydeezy » Mon Feb 04, 2008 5:11 pm

My X60 won't power on today. I have tried different AC power adapters, docking station, nothing works. Any suggestions as what the problem could be? It out of warranty so I can't get service on it.

Thanks!

Remove the battery (standard and ultrabase), remove the ac adapter and then hold down the power button for 2-3 minutes, this will discharge an overcharged capacitor. Afterwards put back the battery, connect it to a power source and try to turn on the machine.

If in case the machine doesn't turn on then the reason could be anything from dead motherboard to defective memory to dead HDD etc.
