Difference between 14 T61 and 14" T61p?

#1 Post by nikemen » Tue Feb 05, 2008 10:08 pm

So, when I try to spec these items out, they appear to have about the same specs, but have different prices. What is the difference? Is there a difference between the two 14" SXGA+ screens?

Graphics card.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

power consumption differs as well.

Everything else being equal between these models,

-- T61 (integrated system graphics Intel GMA X3100) consumes less power than
-- T61 (with Nvidia NVS 140M) - which consumes less power than
-- T61p (Nvidia FX570M).

Yes, it appears the video card is the only real differance, at least configured the same way.

Which would yield the differance in power consumption too.
thanks
