Creaking Lid Hinges on T60 14.1"

Has anyone had the lid hinges on your T60 14.1" start making creaking noise when opening? The creaking noise only happens if the lid has been CLOSED for a while (over a couple of hours). If the lid has been OPEN for a while, the creaking noise does NOT occur.

This all started after taking apart the case a few times to apply thermal paste on the CPU and GPU.

My warranty is ending in a few weeks and I am wondering if it is worth while to fix this problem or just live with it.

I have similar thing.

It was always there and I thought it's normal

For me it's not that big of a deal. Besides I need my Thinkpad, so repairing it under warranty for let's say a week is a very long time...
