Question about an R30

#1 Post by jbauer » Sun Feb 10, 2008 2:46 pm

I have an R30 and have installed the Tiger Woods 2007 video game for a golf simulator.

It says it needs 64mb for the video card to work properly.

It borrows 8mb from the RAM for a total of 16mb.

My question is there anyway to change the amount of video mb's the video card can use.

It will hold up to 1gb of ram. I only need the laptop to run this simulator, so borrowing from the RAM will not be a problem.

help me please!

I don't think so you can do it manually.

You don't have the ability to adjust the amount of RAM that will be borrowed for video use, so you're stuck.

No ThinkPad weaker and/or older than A31p has 64Mb VRAM, and these are not gaming laptops either, not at all.

So, you'd need at least a high end T4x or R5x to run this properly, within ThinkPad world, that is.
