R61i - Bluescreen after ejecting a DVD

#1 Post by justsmile » Mon Feb 11, 2008 11:01 am

Hello community!

I've got a brand-new R61i with DVD burner and Sonic DLA burner software pre-installed. Everytime I eject a DVD (not a CD) I get a Bluescreen.

The reason is obviously the Sonic DLA burning software / driver which allows me to drag files directly to the DVD drive to burn it without external burning software. The software was pre-installed and is part of the "Multimedia Center for Think offerings package". Deactivted or deinstalled, the problem does not appear. The latest Microsoft, Sonic, Bios and ThinkVantage drivers are installed.

Lenovo says: sorry, we are supporting the hardware but not the software on it.

The big question: how can that be fixed?

Many thanks in advance for all ideas!

Do you by chance have any Norton product installed on your machine?
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Try with other burning software like Nero or something free like these...take your pick.. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-best-f ... dvd-burner hope it helps....and if Norton gives you headache (and takes too much resources  ) try Kaspersky or AVG free...
