'c' key not working

#1 Post by TheEternalVortex » Mon Nov 29, 2004 3:14 am

When I started up my T40 today, I found that the 'c' key isn't working. When I press it nothing happens, i.e. the letter doesn't appear and shortcuts with it don't work (I get to type this by pasting the letter over and over--fun!).

Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this? Maybe I need to clean the keyboard (how do I do that)?

Do you have ibm warranty?? If so, call them! simple, thats what they're there for.

Get a can of compressed air and use it to blow the dust bunnies out of your keyboard. That may take care of it.

I'd say you " all" IBM - They are very good when it " omes" to their warranty...

:)

I had a problem with a sticky arrow key. I called tech supprt and they sent a new keyboard the next day...If you are still under the warranty period, it's your best bet to give them a shout...

Try blowing the dust out first. Then, try removing the keyboard and reseating the connector cable.

If no luck, then give IBM a call.

What's weird is that every time I restart a different key doesn't work.
