DivX playback problem

#1 Post by specularius » Tue Feb 12, 2008 3:43 pm

I have searched to no avail.

While playing a DivX file in Windows Media Player, I get white horizontal lines floating up and down the screen. If I play the file using WinDVD, or VLC, I do not get the white horizontal lines.

What should I look for that is causing the white horizontal lines?

WMP is not very good with playing Divx files and other codec's. For playing divx files the DivX player would work best.

Media Player Classic + K-Lite kodec pack is my winner; it supports everything you will ever need (DVD's, DivX, flash, quicktime, realtime and more) and there are many options (that you'll probably never need).....try it, you will be satisfied; WMP is not good for anything except for getting nervous.....

Uninstall ALL codecs and player(s) and install only one codec pack/player...maybe that helps...
