who is the Knucklehead that told me...

#1 Post by Padhead » Thu Feb 14, 2008 8:57 pm

Who was the Knucklehead that told me... that a T4x ultrabay battery would work in a T60 Ultrabay? Cause it don't. Kyuk kyuk kyuk.

Fortunately I had used one hanging around.

It sure doesn't. Pretty much nothing from the T4x is compatible with the T6x.

Most of the ultrabay stuff works, just not the battery.
At least optical drives and hard drive adapters do.

Ultrabay adapters from the T4x will work on T60?

Bah ... I missed a good deal on one because I didn't think it would work. I need to put the extra hard drive i have to use.

IIRC, only the SATA drive adapters are compatible between the T43 and the T60. The ATA/IDE drive adapters for T40-T42 will not work in a T60.

The IDE adapter works fine. I have one from my T42 and I use it with my T60 and R61.

Sweet! I stand corrected and am happy to know I could use such a thing in my T60!
