X61 with advanced Dock

I need to have an advanced dock for use with a pci card

Is it possible to put the x61 into an advanced dock?

If so, do I need the media base or not before attaching the x61 to the dock.

Have you considered something like this:

The X6x Ultrabase dock is very different to the T6x series docks.

I don't know if the advanced dock will fit. I do know you do not need the media base to use the advanced dock. There is no connector on the bottom of the media base. Please let us know what you find out.
