Anyone here of a "millinium edition thinkpad "

#1 Post by SaberX » Fri Feb 15, 2008 10:50 pm

Someone here in town knows that i like thinkpad laptops.
They e-mailed me saying they have a IBM thinkpad for sale for $100.00.
Thats all they say in the first e-mail.
So i sent an e-mail back looking for more info on it.
They say it's a millinium edition thinkpad thats black.
So now i just asked if they could send me some pic's of the laptop even the bottom of it.(thinking i could get the 7 diget # from that)

But just thought i would ask here to see if anyone has herd of the millinium edition thinkpad ...
I'm thinking it's just a thinkpad thats made in the year 2000.Guessing it would be about a T20 or T21.Or A20/21.

And my guess would be that it's just an old ThinkPad with Windows ME (Millenium Edition) installed...I'm clueless on which one, though, it could be anything from 600 series through T20 and early A2x...and more than that, but I'll run out of space if I keep on guessing... 8)

Windows ME on a ThinkPad? That's just not right.

It probably started out as a W98, and was then 'upgraded' to ME.
ME was just as abortive as Vista is now.

Anyway, go have a look.
