My T60 is a little over a year old. The battery performance is not so great any more. I get <1 hour per full charge. The Power Manager Battery Information tab says the battery is in good condition. But, the full charge capacity is given as 30.39Watt-hours against a Design Capacity of 56.16Watt-hours.
I am not sure which indicator to believe; the one that says "Good" or the other that says it has a little over half its design capacity.
Is it replacement time?

well when was the last time you did a battery maintainance (reset)? You should do that after a few months (3 i'd say) to update that manager (even tho it's normally accurate) Sometimes tho it's "Good" because it hasn't been conditioned. After one it'll show the true capacity (which might be higher than the 30.XX it says now) or lower which then might change the status from "Good" to "Fair" or "Poor".
That said tho, it's not a way to judge how much capacity the battery has. There are some with 22whrs but still good. Once the cells degrade to a certain level it normally changes to fair because the cells aren't in "good" condition anymore but it can go back up to Good depending on their condition even at the same Whrs.

I reset the battery indicator about two weeks ago. I did not keep a record of the readings before I performed the reset. I'll try it again but a replacement appears likely at this point.SHoTTa35 wrote:well when was the last time you did a battery maintainance (reset)? You should do that after a few months ...
