x31 u2000 optical driver overheat

Each time I put dvd dirver in u2000 of x31 ,it work well for the first 20-30 minute .But then can't read any disk .And it toach heat.
I think this may cause by the heat from x31 bottom .
Anyone have this kind of problem?Is this the design bug ?
x31 1+1g ram 1.5 cpu 60G 5400 hdd .U2k dvd 6cell battery+ 6cell battery in u2k
