Firefox 2.0.0.12 Update
I was having 100% CPU usage, and 200,000K memory usage. The new update is helping a lot.

Re: Firefox 2.0.0.12 Update
Although my experience with the older version wasn't as bad but the 2.0.0.12 is certainly a little bit lighter on RAM but still does have serious memory leak issues. The memory usage keeps growing by time and the browser has to be restarted to reclaim the leaked RAM. Next invocation of FF seems much leaner with the same exact windows and tabs until it also bloats to huge proportions - vicious cycle.

Since I use FF as my primary browser, I usually have 5+ windows with anywhere from half a dozen to three dozen (yes, 36) tabs open in each of them. I have seen as much as 600MB of memory being consumed by FF.
Funnily enough I use FF on Linux as well in the same excruciating manner but somehow Linux OS and/or Linux FF are more graceful at handling this kind of memory load and the system doesn't suffer as much.
In retrospect I guess now I know where my ADD is coming from

I think my post was wishful thinking. FF is bogging down my X22. I get a lot of errors on my yahoo mail and script problems.

FF 3 seems to be the # we're waiting for....... used several memory trimming mods and it still leaks like a sieve. BUT, it's my browser of choice no matter how much water enters the bilge. Hopefully FF 3 has a self priming pump ~
