Get Rid of Hidden partition
Get Rid of Hidden partition
I just bought a Thinkpad T41. I also have a Compaq Presario with a Hitachi 7200 RPM drive. I swapped the drives. Now the drive in my Compaq shows only 34GB while my IBM shows 38GB. They are both 40GB drives. I'm thinking it is the hidden partition. I tried to get rid of it using fdisk, partition manager and disk management. None of those saw it. Anyone know how to get rid of this? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Get Rid of Hidden partition
That's the reason it is called "hidden". You must"unhide" the HPA in the bios, i.e. probalby you have to swap back the hdds.zazonz wrote: I tried to get rid of it using fdisk, partition manager and disk management. None of those saw it. You can play with the Bios options here:
