Problems with the microphone recording quality

Aloha!

I have a T60 on an Advanced Mini Dock and I'm using Skype for a while. Only using the internal microphone wasn't a good solution permanently so I bought an external one and connected it to the external socket on the Advanced Mini Dock. And now my problem.

The quality is terrible! Signal noise without end. So I lend an other microphone from a friend but I got the same results. When I use the socket on the T60 the quality is brilliant!

Is this a know problem of the Advanced Mini Dock?
