Thinkvantage GPS !

#1 Post by mikehh » Mon Feb 18, 2008 10:08 pm

An engineer (of Lenovo) posted a screenshot about the new thinkvantage GPS module. It shows how GPS works. Probably it is X300 only?

Take a look !

Nice, I heard X300 comes with a GPS module. This is great. I always wanted to have a GPS receiver in my laptop.

Seeing the COM5. Would this be an internal or external?

hmmm nice nice. My Blackjack II has a GPS chip, i wonder if i could access it over GPS and use my laptop for the NAV screen? :D

I guess along with wifi we might start seeing built in GPS in a lot of laptops then.

X300 can be used as a 13" portable GPS navigation unit. Sweet!

This is actually the first notebook that I'm aware of with internal GPS. It is a major selling feature for me!
