HUGE thumbs up for Lenovo support!

#1 Post by tzmueller » Mon Feb 18, 2008 10:48 pm

History:

At work we purchased 3 T60p's and the advanced docking station for each of the lappies. That was approx 2 years ago. (we never purchased any additional warranty besides the one that comes with the laptop and dock).

About a month ago I talked to my local Lenovo rep and asked him what PCI-E card i should order to put in my docks. He said they had the x1300 which was supported by Lenovo.

two weeks passed and the cards came. We put them in and no matter which card and which dock we used the cards would not work at all. Very frustrating.

Today:

Well after a few phone calls and the techs from Lenovo involved they sent us in 3 brand new advanced docks to us via express courier. To my surprise they worked perfectly. Also our old docks were not in warranty any more but they did this anyways.

Good job Lenovo!

HUGE THUMBS UP FOR THEIR TECH SUPPORT and local reps.

I'd also like to give Lenovo a thumbs up. My left clicker was acting ornery so I called lenovo (6PM), they said we'll send you a box to send it in....I said I can fix it myself if you send a part

I received the part the NEXT day at 2PM and when I looked in my email box there was 'installation instructions'

Not to shabby

The left and right mouse keys are VERY poorly designed. I had the same experience, Rapid shipment of a whole new palm pad and touchpad. Unfortunately, the new part will go bad also. I ended up modifying the original key by making a small hole in the key and inserting a staple through the key and wraping it under the metal clip under the key. :

Thumbs up on my recent on site repair of the LCD in my T42. It had a vertical strip from top to bottom.
