Trying to get Leopard (kalyway) on my T60

#1 Post by lazyazn » Tue Feb 19, 2008 8:09 pm

So, i have been reading a lot of posts in OSX86 and here but couldn't find a place to start. I am having a lot of trouble installing leopard on my t60. There are suppose to be two options for the harddrive partition. One is MBR and the other is GUID but i am not seeing any of those options during the install. Also, how do i install the vanilla Kernel?

Thanks in advance.

MBR/GUID is done during the partitioning in the disk utility once you have booted into the install CD

if you want to dual boot then you have to go with MBR

you choose vanilla kernel by clicking customise just before the installation begins make sure you choose the ACPI fix too otherwise you aren't gonna get keyboard/mouse support

make sure you install a boot loader in the customise section too, make sure that the bootloader you choose corresponds to your partitioning choise (ie MBR or GUID)
