overclocked T61P ?

#1 Post by akim » Tue Feb 19, 2008 10:55 pm

Hi,

I have noticed something weird on Everest.
My current T7700 is overclocked by 7% and reaches 2600 mhz.
My setup in bios is :
Power settings : Speedstep activated ( automatic) and maximum speed.

When I change it to automatic on all, the current frequency stays at 2400 Mhz.

What is suprising is that the multiplier coefficient stays at it is : 12 but fsb changes.

Do you think that it is really overclocked :) with speedstep.
ps: the frequency stays at 2600 Mhz at all times.

Look at this snapshot of everest.

Strange...

I heard there was a feature on new Intels where only one core is clocked up higher than normal... or it might just be an everest glitch.

I heard it too, but in this case how to explain that the frequency stays stable at around 2600 mhz more or less

When I perform the same test with no speedstep in bios, the frequency is always at about 2400
