After 3½ years of faultless use, I think my motherboard has packed up. The screen flickered and hung. On reboot, nothing happened apart from power and battery light. Also nothing with drive in ultrabay. Backup battery was OK, so I reckon it must be the motherboard.
I have ordered a new T61 but, in the meantime, is it feasible to replace the motherboard? The cost of the board seems to be £225 +VAT. What else would I need to perform a straight swap? The maintenance diskette 1.73 maybe?
