Vista SP1 OK on T60p
Vista SP1 OK on T60p
For what it's worth, I installed Vista SP1 from Windows Update on my T60p with Vista Enterprise x86 and all the Lenovo apps except Rescue and Recovery, and everything works fine. Opening applications is a little snappier and battery life is a little improved, but otherwise I have noticed no changes.
The provess involves a 66MB+ download and the patch itself took about 45 minutes to finish.

Works great for me, too.
In fact, it works well on both of my 32-bit, and 64-bit T60p's. I used the full installer version in both cases.
However, it does have some known issues since earlier this week:

After upgrading the FingerPrint sensor drivers (by UPEK), I didn't have any problems either. It took about 30 to 45 minutes tu update. Log-on screen seems faster. And it uses the same amount of RAM as before. I haven't noticed anything else, but then again I just installed SP1 this morning.
The one thing I found odd was that my hard drive went from having 33% free space, to 42% free. This seems odd, considering that the SP1 update was supposed to use up space, not free it. I was thinking that it was probably the old installation files or something. In any event, I am happy to have more Gigs available. [/i]

That is due to the fact that SP1 will delete all but the most recent restore point when it installs, so if you had a lot of restore points and/or shadow copy files then they are deleted. On my system, after accounting for the space gained by the deletion of the shadow copy files, the space occupied on the system partition increased by 600 MB post-SP1.
