Anybody know what a T30 2366-WTC could be (or based on...)?

Where does this type number come from? If it's been supplied to you then there's a possibility that the owner/seller is dyslexic or needs better reading glasses :) . A quick check of that type at the usual sources (ibm.com, tawbook, HMM) yields no information, except that this thread has already been indexed by Goggle :!: .

I'm watching a T30 on eBay where the seller supplied me with that number, when I asked him
I vaguely remember someone buying a TP with a similar number, where the last 3 characters were covered with a sticker, probably from an outfit that refurbished it at one time. Not sure if on this forum or on Lenovo.

Anyway, I have asked seller if someone perhaps glued another sticker over the original one.

Why don't you have him email you a snaphot of the BIOS page?

Unfortunately this is one of those 'for parts' machines.
(I have a working mobo lying around)
