I picked up an almost new Lenovo R61i off Ebay.
Product: ThinkPad R61i 7650-8CU [change]
Operating system: All [change]
Original description: T5250(1.5GHz), 512MB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 15.4in 1280x800 LCD, Intel X3100, CDRW/DVD, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, Secure chip, 6c Li-Ion, WinXP Pro
It's a Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5Ghz.
15.4" WXGA 1280 x 800 lcd (widescreen)
80 gb 5400 hard drive with Win XP
24x cdrw/dvd read only drive.
512mg of ram (1 stick of 512)
Intel 3945 a/b/g wireless
Intel GMA X3100 grahics card
..... and a warranty good until 10/2008.
It's a little too wide for my purpose and doesn't fit on my desk! Outside lid has a few very light scruffs. Missing 1 screw for the palmrest, M2x17mm.
Model no. 7650-8CU.
Runs excellent and the battery is good for 3:30 hours.
Lowered to $450 shipped USA/Puerto Rico. Canada $10 extra
Possible trade also...........PM me with offers
Ron
I have the original box and manuals for the R61i.
I have an extra 1 GIG of ram and a 8x dvdrw/24x cdrw drive available.
I failed to mention that I have 2 csrss.exe processes running at once. I believe one of them is a low grade backdoor trojan. Laptop runs fast and fine.

IBM Lenovo 100s 14" / T61 14.1sxga / X200 tablet / Microsoft Surface Pro 2 256GB / T61 wide and 15.4" and an iPad Air 2 and Ipad Mini 2....
I dint know that the R61i did not come with a touchpad!

I guess that's part of the "i" designation. I usually use an external mouse anyway.gator wrote:I dint know that the R61i did not come with a touchpad!
Thanks for noticing, though....

And that would be the main reason I would rush to buy one if they had them with 4:3 LCDs ...I dint know that the R61i did not come with a touchpad!

Please don't drop the price again...it's too good...
This is a great deal for a practically new computer with great spec.'s and a warranty. All from a great seller.
How can you argue with a $450 R61? People are paying that for 3 year old T4x's! R-series machines never get any love. Too bad, they're actually quite solid machines.
I already owned this exact model and it is quite fast, add another $5 for another 1/2 GB of RAM and you're there.

Holy Cow! What a perfect laptop! I can't believe no one has snatched this yet! If I had the spare bucks it would be MINE!!!!!! Great pics Ron and nice camera that shot those pics....... I'm with Gator, I didn't realize that there wasn't a trackpad as well, I can't stand them...... it's a perfect throwback to the earlier tradition of not having one which is why I prefer the older models..... Man, if I only had the cash right now.......!!!!!!!!!
