Hey guys,
I'm a big Linux user, but I occasionally have to do some things in Windows, and one of the tiny things that irritates the heck out of me is the inability to "click" with the scroll button on the trackpoint. I've explored the (rather sparse) drivers, but I'm pretty certain there's nothing there. Is there any sort of registry patch or something that would allow me to "middle click" with the scroll button?
Thanks in advance,
Mumba

It is possible to use the "scroll button" as the middle button in Windows. Just change the "Choose Scrolling or Magnifying Glass Function" to Neither in the TrackPoint Properties.
You can find the TrackPoint Properties window by navigating through Mouse Properties, UltraNav tab and click on the Settings button in the TrackPoint box.
I found this setting works much better in Firefox and IE7 browsers. I can use the scroll button to open link in a new tab and to close tabs. Both browsers support scrolling with the middle button, so I did not lose any functionality.

Wow, that makes a lot of sense. I assumed it disabled it or something.
However, that takes away another feature I love... the ability to "scroll" as if I was using an actual mouse wheel. I don't suppose there's a way to have the best of both worlds?
