Lol, was configuring a T61 and today there was a huge difference in pricing. A basic config was $960 yesterday and today it starts at $850. While adding in all the parts, saw that the 9 cell batteries for T61 widescreen was available (used to be only 7 cells was available).
But look at the price!! $7499.25 per cell!
Lol, a typo.....

The most EXPENSIVE 9 cell battery for T61
Do what is important, not what is urgent
According to my calculations, the most expensive battery would last up to 4,000 hours! Go for that one!
I got a 9-cell from eBay for $40 shipped and sold my 6-cell for the same money. Sure it's knock-off, but it works great. And even if it lasts less long, I'll still save money over expensive IBM stuff. In my T43p that is.
My 2 cents.

I don't think that's a typo, per se. It seems like anything on the IBM/lenovo website that is either too new or out of stock (aka limited availability in either case) seemed to be entered with a price of $9,999. or $99,999. I guess that's to discourge us from attempting to order such an item until IBM/lenovo is ready to start taking orders.
From what I understand the 9-cell on the widescreen 14 inch model is a new item (not offered before). So I'm not surprised is listed as $9,999 for now.

Definitely a typo. Though the best "bang-for-the-buck" I've had with thinkpad batteries was in the last recall. Something went wrong in the database of the German company contracted to perform the recall, so now I'm typing away with two new brand new 9-cells still sitting in the drawer.
