Given the number of dissatisfied Canadian customers at the Lenovo sponsored community forum (forums.lenovo.com), I feel it necessary to give those customers not aware of that site at least one other means to find it. At issue in
this thread is the implementation of a new "IT infrastructure" at Lenovo Canada that resulted in late shipments and mis-configured machines (yep, test it on small-market Canada before unleashing it on the rest of the world . . .
). This is detailed in a
statement from Lenovo with provisions for compensation and other means to ensure customer satisfaction. I have been seeking resolution to my order (placed 21/12/07) for eight weeks and, based on my interactions with Lenovo this morning, have another two weeks to go (for credits to be "applied" and my extended warranty to be "activated and updated in the system"). I am enjoying my new T61, but my recent (and drawn-out) experience with Lenovo Customer Service has soured it somewhat . . .
