Where is the recovery partitioon for Partition Magic
Playing around with a new PC and trying to partition the hard drive. I chose the deault option to createa "d" drive which was "after " the recovery partiton. PM tried to move the entire recovery partition. I stopped the process which destroyed the partition. No problem since I can restore from the recovery CD's. However I woud like to create a "d" partiton without PM trying to move the recovery partiton. Has anyone done this or know what options I should choose so PM will just use the remaining space and not move stuff
Where is your recovery partition located? Mine was at the very end of the drive. Highlight the C: drive and change/reduce size. In the nonallocated space create an extended partition, and within the extended partition, create a logical partition for D:. This should leave your recovery partition alone (if it's at the end).
