Screen contrast and colour in Vista

#1 Post by edinburghphoto » Wed Feb 27, 2008 4:25 pm

Hi

I recently received my X61. It is a UK model and I dropped in a Hitachi 7K200 drive and upped the RAM to 3GB.

I didn't notice anything wrong with the display until I started doing some real work on the X61. I needed to finish off some work for a client on my X31 before transferring it to the X61. In doing this, I noticed the X31 display was much clearer, had better contrast and more vivid colours.

The X31 has the default settings and I've always been happy with the display. I hunted around for some way of adjusting the contrast, gamma etc on the X61. I used the Intel GMA tools and used the color correction option to make some adjustments by trial and error. This took me ages but ended up with a display comparable with my X31.

Is there an easier way of adjusting the colour, contrast and brightness?
Also, has anyone else had similar problems. I have the latest drivers installed.
