#1 Post by Fred Mertz » Wed Feb 27, 2008 5:28 pm

Just picked up an IBM wireless cardbus adapter p/n 31p9109-Will there be any advantages if i replace my rather ordinary Netgear card with this or are all the cards pretty much the same? Thanks.

31P9109 has an atheros chipset, but I don't think you'll be able to spot any discernible difference compared to a netgear card. The connection might be a little bit more stable ... I had this card once with a T22 on linux, and I had a hard time getting it to work. It performed well on windows 2000 though.
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU

Rules of the road :thumbs-UP:
