T60p repair report

#1 Post by mfresh07 » Thu Feb 28, 2008 10:25 am

My T60p (2613-ETU) UXGA IPS LCD died on me last week and I had to send it off to the depot.

I was a little worried they would stick me with a different LCD after reading about the IPS supply problems in the sticky LCD thread.

I am happy to report that I recieved the laptop back < 7 days after shipping it off and PC Wizard 2008 reports the same BOE-Hydis panel that it came with.

The big question now becomes, when my recall-replacement 9 cell battery shows up do I keep using this laptop or ebay it and take the plunge into the T61p widescreen world...

If you are partial to the IPS LCD then stick with what you have. Unfortunately there are no such LCD option on T61's.
