messed up wireless connections on T40P

#1 Post by llama_thumper » Mon May 31, 2004 9:28 am

i'm having trouble connecting to open wireless networks, using both windows and IBM access connections.

what steps should i take to make a clean install of all the wireless drivers, etc?

should i just first uninstall access, then install the newest wireless drivers from IBM, then IBM access connections? is that all?

i've messed around a bit directly in the windows settings (ie deinstalling the TCP/IP v6 protocol as well as teh Aegis protocol), so i'm unsure as to how to get things going again... any help appreciated!

The readme file of access connection says you should first update the wlan driver and then install the version 3.21.

In the beginning I would not add any security measures (WEP, MAC filtering, SSID etc) just to get the wlan working. Then I would add step by step these features.
