docking station stops recognizing USB

Hi there.

I am writing just to thank the forum and maybe to leave a reference post for the next unlucky guy.

I have a T60 and a docking station and everything has been working always fine. I have three external hard disks permanently connected to it that I use when I dock my laptop.

Yesterday when I came back home and docked my laptop I couldn't connect to the devices via the docking station anymore. The devices were fine (try to connect directly to the laptop) and the docking station's power supply was working fine, but no USB.

I tried to reboot with no results. After reading the forum I tried this:

- switch off, take off the battery, docking the laptop and turning it on
- switch off, take off the battery, turning on the laptop and docking it

After a couple of this, everything went back to normal.
