Anybody knows or can provide a good link with performance benchmarks between X61 T7500 NV (2.2GHz) and the new X300?

The T7500 in 90% faster than the U7100 is raw speed, however it also creates a lot more heat (approximately 65 degrees Celsius) when run for 2 minutes or more. Not to mention the increase power requirement.

I am not trying to push one processor/system over the other, but mind if we ask what you will doing with the system that you would see the difference?

FWIW, On my main laptop, currently a T42, I use a battery profile with the processor speed set manually to "slow" (591mHz) while on battery and adaptive while on A/C power. While I can notice a slight change in business apps (primarily noticed in visio and project) this is very usable and grants a battery life increase of approximately 15% in my test over the adaptive settings.
