thinkvantage system update has stopped working

A few weeks ago I installed a whole ton of updates for my t60p, which worked fine, as far as I can tell, but ever since, without fail, every time I try to "Get New Updates," it gets stuck at "Searching for agent updates - 7% complete." I have no idea what to do.

EDIT: Turned out all I needed to do was leave it running for twenty minutes, at which point it finally informed me that the updater needed to update itself, which took another five minutes. Anyway, problem resolved.
