Upgrading the hard drive

#1 Post by linuxcomputers » Sun Mar 02, 2008 6:46 am

I'm thinking of upgrading the hard drive of my 570e, do I have to advise the bios? How exactly do I do that? In the past I've only worked on desktops, and they sensed changes. Since I got this machine I've upgraded the SD RAM to the max replaced the CD for a DVD burner. Naturally fitted Mandriva-Linux OS as the Windows one is so bulky and its got no applications
I have incorporated a company called linuxcomputersolutions Ltd (Number 6376832). Any computers that go through my hands get Mandriva-Linux fitted. I own a A20m 500MHz, 320Mb, 40Gb and a 800MHz T21 that has 384Mb SDRAM Without a HD or a working screen

I have put in a 60gb hard drive in a 570E without any problems. I didn't have to tell the BIOS anything.
T60 2623-D7U, 3 GB Ram.
Dual boot XP and Linux Mint.
