Can a multitouch X60T receive input from multiple fingers?

X60/X61 series specific matters only.

Can a multitouch X60T receive input from multiple fingers?

#1 Post by jamiphar » Sun Mar 02, 2008 6:47 pm

I've been looking for a way to use a touchscreen as a good input device. It would be along the lines of having an on-screen keyboard.

What I'm wondering is, can the X60/X61 tablets support more than a couple fingers at a time? I would need it be able to recognize all ten at once for what I'm hoping to do.

:EDIT:

If the ThinkPad tablets cannot support multiple fingers, what are some tablets that can?

So the Latitude XT does support multiple simultaneous finger taps? I'm trying to find some more info on it...

Yep, but until windows 7, nothing but the iphone really uses it.

i think there were some obscure things for the dell, but thats it.

I'm sorry, but could you clarify? Are you saying that the X60t/X61t hardware supports it, but software support isn't available yet?

No that was to the post above mine, not OP.

the dell XT alone supports it.
what lenovo means by multitouch, is multi-method-touch.

Gotcha, thanks. Now I just have to find a way to test one out without buying it first.
