Thinkpad T30 display issues

#1 Post by tsui88 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 3:46 pm

Recently my T30 have been having display issues (unreadable font
and vertical and horizontal lines) when i boot up the system. The strange thing is if i turn off the system and hook up a external hard drive to it and reboot the system, the display would be fine. Please advise.

Welcome to the Forum!

Are you using the laptops HDD externally or a different HDD?

I'd try the laptops drive externally. Are you using Anti Virus software?

Thank you. This forum is very informative.

I do have anti virus on the laptop(Zone Alarm Internet security). When I hook up a external HDD to the laptop, I am not using it as a boot drive, I do that so I can choose what to use to boot the system and I choose the system HDD to boot and the display would be cool.
