Hi
I tried to talk to my friend on Msgr 7.0, we both have T21s running 2k, but get this unbearable screeching sound when using built in microphones.
I have tried the audio tuning wizard my end only, is it possible that his laptop is not setup properly? Other solutions have been either downloading a patch for a webcam, we don't have one, or jst a bad connection. I have read that firewalls can cause some noise but not screeching to this extent. Both the microphone & speakers run under Crystal SoundFusion. It appears to be a common problem.

Yes, I should add that this was an audio only conversation with the laptops built in microphone, not an external webcam/mic.
