Not really that odd. Even working drives can have bad sectors, or make unusual noises.stopdrpnro wrote:^ those are always odd questions to get... i wouldn't sell it broken.
Did you come to this conclusion after scanning the drive with a diagnostic program?stopdrpnro wrote:has no issues

i came to this conclusion after i never had any issues with it in th tablet pc it was in.now that the screen on the tablet is broken i can't run diagnostics unless i put the drive in my x40 which has a completely different driver set etc. i will of course warranty the drive against major defects. and i will also trade the drive for an 8cell x4x battery.
but that actually leads me to a question. does selling the drive with recovery partition intact violate anything in terms of the copy of windows being in there? (not trying to break the law)

Since a vast majority of the machines that can utilize this drive were sold with a XP COA, I would imagine you're in the clear.but that actually leads me to a question. does selling the drive with recovery partition intact violate anything in terms of the copy of windows being in there?
