*Issue Resolved* Blue Screen upon ejecting from x6 ultrabase
*Issue Resolved* Blue Screen upon ejecting from x6 ultrabase
I'm having some problems with ejecting my x61t from the x6 ultrabase. Every time I hit the eject button on the side I get a blue screen with the following info:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.6
Locale ID: 1033
Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 18
BCP1: BAD0B0B0
BCP2: 9671FBC8
BCP3: 00000002
BCP4: FFFFFFFF
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1
I have tried reinstalling the Thinkvantage Easy Eject Utility but still having no luck. Does anyone have any idea how this problem can be fixed? It is pretty much rendering a $200 dock useless...
Thanks

Were you also having problems prior to the installation of SP1?

Do this:
Right Click My Computer > Properties > Advanced System settings> Under start up recovery-settings> Then uncheck automaically restart and press OK.
Next time you'll be able to read the blue screen, report back the error and numbers the BSOD complaints about.
The following article will give you some additional info. on identifying the BSOD:
Demystifying the 'Blue Screen of Death'.

Thanks ryengineer. The actual blue screen wasn't giving me any useful info but the link you posted gave me the idea to check the memory dump and see what was causing the problem. I used the WinDbg utility and followed the guide here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35246.
The WinDbg tool helped me identify what was causing the problem. It seems like the old version of Solid Works I had was not Vista compatible and left some files and registry entries that kept causing this problem. I removed the file and registry entries and everything works again.
Thanks!
