First of all, I have applied all updates, both Vista and Lenovo, to my tablet.
I still have the sleep of death issue. Basically, I put the laptop to sleep and the screen blanks and becomes unresponsive (though disk hits occur periodically and randomly). It never sleeps when this happens. At least it doesn't crash after 12 minutes. I've had it in this state for 12 hours before having to power off. The condition is unpredictable. I'd say, on average, 1 out of 3 sleeps fails.
It seems to be related to the network connections. The failure occurs most frequently with WiFi connected. The antenna light stays lit, instead of going off, and the machine goes unresponsive. If the antenna goes off, the machine sleeps. With the WWAN, the same situation can occur, but much nore rarely. If Ethernet is enabled, there is of course no light, but the same thing occasionally happens here, too. Without any network, the problem very rarely occurs.
It is very much as if the system is trying to disconnect from the network and goes into an infinitely loop when it cannot disable the card.
Since I have all the MS patches and Lenovo patches, I wonder if anybody else is still experiencing this.
Since it is more likely to happen when the computer is warm, or been on a long time, I suspect a thermal problem. I will probably go to Lenovo on this, but I'd like to not loose my computer for a few weeks if someone has a fix...
Thanks in advance![/i]

Did you apply patches by using System Update, or did you do it by manually downloading drivers, etc, from the Lenovo website?
I believe there are some issues that are not dealt with automatically. Check the Lenovo website to be sure - for example, there are registry fixes listed that I believe are not installed by the System Updater.

I used Lenovo's system update. I'll take a look at the web site tonight and see if I missed anything. Good tip. Thanks, Noetus,
Anybody else out there experiencing this problem?

Nothing good to say but would like to point out that CTO means Configure To Order and not Call To Order. (check your website)
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
