Z60t/Z60m/T60/R60/Z61t/Z61m/T61/R61 all use same keyboards!

Just thought I'd share my realization, others have probably made similar discoveries.

The real beauty is that this is true for either 14.1" or 15.0" or 14.1" widescreen or 15.4" widescreen models. The same keyboard part is used for 14 different machines!

Good for company and good for consumer.

It would be even better if all of these didn't have that cheap feel when you type on them...whatever happened to the best laptop keyboards in the world....

I tried out the keyboard on an R61i and the keyboard still felt like it had the same quality like with previous ThinkPads.

And that's true for many accessories, not just the keyboard. Power supplies are interchangeable between all these and also the X series (although with some power-hungry models it is strongly not advised to use the 65W PSU). Ultrabay Slim drives are interchangeable between any T (including T4x!) series, the Z60/61t and the X-series Ultrabase. Ultrabay Enhanced can be used in any R series (except the E models) and the Z60/61m.
