Disabling Trackpoint on a 600x

#1 Post by glenn778 » Sat Mar 08, 2008 12:34 am

What is the procedure to disable the trackpoint in the 600x bios? I have seen this mod for a 600 and a 600e, but not a 600x. Any help would be appreciated.

- Power on the system, holding the F1 key down in order to access the BIOS (Easy-Setup)
- Enter the Config menu
- Press CTRL-D
- Use the down arrow key to move to the line starting with "20". In the first column there should be an "02". Press "01" (without the quotes)
- Press the F2 key to save the new setting
- Press the Escape key to exit the Config editor
- Press the Escape key to return to the main Easy-Setup menu
- Select the Restart button
- Select OK

To re-enable, access the Config menu in the BIOS and select the Initialize button. That will return to all of the default settings.
