SP1 Shutdown and Reboot problems

I have tried installing SP1 twice and both times my T61p will not reboot - sleep or shutdown after it's installed. It happens after "Stage 2 of 3" - at which point I have to hold the power button...

System restore has repaired it both times.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you been through the list of problematic third party drivers on the Microsoft web site (also mentioend in another thread in this forum too)?
